Angry at God?

If so, don't feel bad. I have been there before.

Yet sometimes God is justified in not giving us what we want. I say that for a number of reasons.

1. If you got what you want, it might destroy you.

2. When you get what you want, you may not want what you've got.

Often we lust and desperately yearn for something, which once we become more acquainted with we no longer like any more.

3. Your character and skill set may not be developed enough to properly handle what you most want.

I child may want a gun, but if he were to get it there is a strong likelihood he would kill himself.

I recently was shocked to hear of all the recent Toyota recalls on their popular cars and SUVs - particularly the avalon and Rav-4, both of which we nearly bought.

Thankfully the financing and terms were not pleasing to us and some minor contractual details were cause for delay in purchasing these vehicles.

Thank God! Thank God! Thank God we didn't buy Toyota!

Recently a massive recall of tens-of-thousands of these Toyota Avalons and Rav-4s (among other vehicles) has been going on because the gas peddle gets stuck and people cannot stop the vehicle. One man experienced his Toyota accelerating at up to 100 mph and couldn't stop the car when he attempted to put his foot on the brake.

So I say to you my friends who feel discouraged, disappointed and disillusioned - delay is not denial. God remains a good God and is looking out for you, having your best interest at heart.

Trust Him!

I nearly married a young lady to whom I was engaged, when suddenly the relationship fell apart and disintegrated.

At the time I was disappointed and disillusioned. Hey, love itself is often nothing more than lust and infatuation coupled with some internal illusions with exhuberant emotions. (More on that later...)

Yet when that young lady left my life, it opened the door for God to bring me the beautiful young lady (way better than the one who left) I am married to today!

Trust God. Go forward. Don't always seek closure on that which you don't understand.

Make a decision to be happy and expectant for miracles everyday!

As you do, God will show Himself strong today!
